Every year we set many goals to accomplish, sometimes we set so many goals that we forget about them thought the year. Here are 5 goals to focus on accomplishing this year, that can be achieve some-what easily is you really set your mind to. Make this year the one when you finally take control of your health and wellness with these simple daily habits.

1. Exercise Regularly

Improving and strengthening your cardiovascular and muscular health can help prevent and control some disease. Exercise is also proven to help to reduce and improve stress. You can get a subscription in a gym or you could take advantage of your surroundings. Instead of taking the elevator take the stairs, park further so you have to walk a little more.

The following are treadmills that can be store easily in your home and are less than $200. Both are 4 star and are only for walking (no running).

GOAL: 30 minutes walks a week

2. Drink more water

Drinking water is important to keep your body hydrated. But also, drinking water helps lubricating your joints, delivering oxygen throughout the body, boosts skin health, regulates body temperature, flushes body waste and it can prevent kidney damage. If you struggle with drinking water you can add fruit to it and it will be more enjoyable to drink it. Also, get a bottle that measures how much water you are drinking this way you can make it your goal to finish that water.

Here are great bottles so you can monitor your water intake. Something I always look for water bottles is that they are bpa free.

GOAL: 50 oz of water per day

3. Cleaning/disinfecting your phone

Taking into consideration that a phone is something we usually have in our hands- at all times- is something that has bigger chance of getting dirty. When I say it gets dirty I don't mean actual dirt or dirt you may see, I mean dirty with microorganisms. It goes without saying that our hands are almost always dirty, same goes to our phone. And, its even worse because we put the phone up to the face, we use it while eating and many times right before we sleep. Cleaning your phone is even more important after 2020 and the pandemic, but is very simple. You can get disinfectant wipes, you can use alcohol, alcohol wipes or specific wipes for electronics it's all up to you. The important thing is that you clean your phone after school or work and that you clean all it's surfaces.

GOAL: clean your phone on daily basis

4. Prioritize Sleep

If we talk about a phone it needs to charge so you can use it, and if it's fully charged it can last the whole day. Similar to the phone, we need to sleep, rest and recharge so we can be functional the next day. It's important to sleep from 7 to 8 hours, set a schedule for sleep like a regular bed-time and wakeup time. A good night sleep can be crucial for supporting healthy brain function and maintaining physical health.

If you struggle with sleep you can try using a weighted blanket, an eye sleep mask, restricting the amount of blue light you expose yourself before sleep and, refrain from taking coffee in the afternoon.

5. Spend more time with those you love

Some times we focus more on work and other things that while are important, they don't come before our loves ones. This one is to help you remember to call, message or visit your love ones. Take every opportunity that live gives you and spend time with those you love the most, that's what you'll remember on the long run. If you don't know what to do with you can get a board game, watch a movie, cook a recipe, put together a puzzle, make candles, watch the sunset, help painting a room, cleaning, organizing, or do a DIY together. There are many options for all situations, the important thing is to take the time, visit or just call and say hello.
